Not long after he began posting his videos he gained a wide span of attention.
Out of options, Brown started posting covers of songs online to social media. However, he did not last long on the show as the producers wanted to put him in a boyband to which he refused. Brown would eventually go on to audition on American Idol and The X Factor, securing a spot on the latter. It wasn’t until he had won a talent show in high school singing Chris Young’s “Gettin’ You Home” that he would get back to his country roots. Growing up Brown had always listened to country music, but when he got into middle school he became more interested in R&B. With his mother trying to provide for the family, they ended up moving around a lot causing Brown to be bounced around various middle and high schools.
